A website that looks as good as your work
If a client is comparing businesses let's make sure they pick yours
- A written scope with a fixed price, no obligations
- Done on the date we agree, or the build is free
Working with professional services since 2011. More than 100 projects delivered.
Get it off the list, without it becoming your project
Tell us what you want to fix
A site that undersells you, an enquiry process held together by an inbox, or just the nagging sense that the website has been on the list for two years. Leave your details and we will call you back for a 30-minute conversation.
You stay billable, we build and run it
One team for the design, the build, the hosting and everything after it goes live.
-
One team, not three
Design, build, hosting and maintenance from the same people. Nothing gets lost between a brand agency who have finished and a developer who inherited their files. -
You do not have to write a brief
We ask the questions and write the scope for you. You read it and approve it. -
Roughly three hours of your time, total
Two conversations and one review. That is the whole ask. -
A price and a date you can rely on
Both agreed before we start, both in writing. -
Nobody in your office has to run it
Hosting, updates, backups and security are ours. You never log in unless you want to.
Would rather write it down? Outline your project and we will come back inside one business day.
No obligation, and you will get a straight answer even if that answer is that you do not need us yet.
Everything that usually goes wrong, removed
You have been let down by a web design agency before. Most businesses have. Here is what we do about each part of that.
What usually happens
What happens with us
You do not know what to ask for
You do not have to. We ask the questions, then write the scope for you to approve
Your brand does not really work on screen
Most do not. We work to your guidelines where they exist and sort out the rest. We are designers as well as builders
It will eat time you should be billing
Two conversations and one review, roughly three hours end to end
The quote will not survive the project
Fixed price, agreed before we start, and it does not move unless you change the scope
It will drag on for months
We agree a date in writing. Miss it and the build is free
You will be left running it
We host it, update it, back it up and keep it secure
Your client information is sensitive
Enquiries go somewhere with proper access control, not a shared inbox. We will sign your confidentiality agreement
You will be locked in
You own the site, the domain, the content and the data. Cancel ongoing work on 30 days
The date is the date
We agree a delivery date in writing once you have approved the scope document. If we miss it, the build is free.
The conditions, in full:
- The date is set only after you have signed off the scope we wrote for you.
- Any change you ask for after that resets the date, agreed in writing before we carry on.
- Feedback has a window at the review point. Feedback that comes back late moves the date by the same number of days.
- A few things we do not control pause the clock: content only you can supply, a partner’s sign-off, a payment provider’s approval. They are named in your quote so there are no surprises.
Before any of that, there is a simpler promise. The scope document is free and it is yours. If it does not describe the firm you actually run, you walk away, you pay nothing, and you keep the document.
On ongoing work, where there is no single date to miss, the commitment is different: no lock-in, cancel on 30 days, and your site and data come with you.
We spell the conditions out because a guarantee without conditions is a marketing device, and you have read enough contracts to know it.
Our partners say it best
Why firms stay with us
Four things firms tell us they did not get last time.
One team
start to finish
We design it, build it, launch it and run it. Nothing falls into the gap between a brand agency who have finished and a developer holding their files. Your part is two conversations and a review.
Cost & date
before you commit
A fixed price and a delivery date, both agreed in writing before anything is built. The price does not move unless you change the scope, and we carry the cost of missing the delivery date.
Discretion
by default
We will not use you in our marketing without asking, and we will sign your confidentiality agreement. We never need access to your practice management system or your case files.
Always on hand
after the launch
Three months of hosting, updates and security come with every build. After that you decide what you want us to keep doing, from nothing at all through to search, articles and full care.
Case study
TBB is New Zealand’s foremost specialist commercial property law firm.
As leaders in all facets of commercial property and real estate law, they understood the need for a robust, scalable platform for the firm.
Explore the live site or get started with your own project.
What we do for you
Every project is quoted on what your firm actually needs. We do not sell website packages to professional services firms, because a four-partner practice and a sole consultant do not need the same thing.
Website
design
Designed by us, not bought in. We work to your brand guidelines, and where those only cover print, which is usual, we sort out what is missing for screen.
Website
development
Built to that design, not assembled from a template. Fast, accessible, and written so a client finds what they need without having to ring and ask.
Enquiry
management
Every enquiry logged in a system with proper access control rather than a shared inbox, with follow-up that happens whether or not anyone remembers.
3-month
care plan
Hosting, updates, backups and security, included from the day it goes live. Nothing to set up, nothing to renew, and no one in your office made responsible.
Optional extras
Each of these is quoted on its own and none of them are compulsory. Most firms start with the site, keep the care going, and add the rest when they are ready.
Search & AI
visibility
Being found online when someone searches for a firm like yours, and being cited when they ask an AI assistant instead, which is where a growing share of that research now starts.
Quality
content
Regular, well-researched pieces in your field, drafted for you and published under your name once you have approved them. The thing every firm intends to do and almost none keep up.
Ongoing
maintenance
The same cover carrying on past month three. Servers we run and monitor, updates, backups and security, and someone to ring on the rare occasion it is needed.
How a project runs
01
A 30-minute
initial call
You describe the firm and what is not working. We work out whether we are the right people for it. No preparation needed and nothing to write beforehand.
02
Working session
& full scope
Three quarters of an hour on the detail: what the site has to do, who supplies what. We write it up as a fixed-price scope, free, and yours to keep either way.
03
We design &
develop it
A named contact who replies inside one business day. You see the design before anything is built, and mark it up at one review point. We do not need you until then.
04
It goes live
on the date
Three months of hosting, updates and security are included from day one. After that you either keep us on for the ongoing work, or take the handover and walk.
Why the website is still on the list
Most firms we speak to are not unhappy with their website. They are stuck on it, which is a different problem and a harder one to solve.
The work is good. The site does not say so.
Fixing that means deciding what it should say, and deciding what it should say means writing a brief, and nobody in the firm has the time or the inclination.
So it stays on the list through another financial year, quietly costing you the enquiries you never hear about, because the people who did not call you do not tell you why.
The other version is worse. The firm did commission a rebuild, could not describe what it wanted, and ended up with something that took nine months, cost more than the quote, needed somebody in-house to keep it going, and still does not say the right thing.
Both versions have the same root cause. Not the design, not the budget, not the developer. The brief. So we write it. You get a plain-English scope document, a fixed price and a delivery date before anything is built, and the only decision you have to make is whether the document describes the firm you actually run.
Questions firms ask
I do not know what I want the site to say. Is that a problem?
No, and it is the most common thing we hear. Working that out is the job we do in the first two steps. You end up approving a brief rather than writing one.
How much of my time will this take?
Roughly three hours across the whole project: a 30-minute conversation at the start, a walk-through of the scope document, and one review before it goes live.
What does it cost?
It depends on the firm, which is why we quote rather than sell packages. Tell us what you are dealing with and you will have a fixed price and a delivery date inside one business day.
Is the scope document really free?
Yes, and there is no catch in the small print. We write it after the working session, you keep it, and if you decide to have someone else build it from our scope, that is your right. We do it that way because the scoping is the part firms cannot do alone, and because a firm that has read a clear scope makes a better client than one who has not.
We already have brand guidelines. Can you work to them?
Yes, and we would rather. Send them over with your enquiry. If they only cover print, which is the usual situation, we will tell you what is missing for screen and what it would take to sort out.
We do not really have a brand. Is that a problem?
No. At the very least we will make what you already have work properly on screen. If you would rather go further than that, we design brands as well as websites, and it is worth raising early because it changes what the site can look like.
Do you design, or only build?
Both, and we design more than websites. Some firms arrive with designs from their brand agency and we build them. More arrive with a logo and not much else, and we design the whole thing. Either is normal.
How soon could we be live?
That depends on what the scope turns out to contain, so we do not quote a standard number. What you get instead is a specific date, in writing, before you commit, and if we miss it the build is free.
Our client information is confidential. How do you handle that?
Enquiries go into a system with proper access control, not a shared inbox. We will sign your confidentiality agreement, and we do not need access to your practice management or case files to build a website.
Will you use our firm in your marketing?
Only if you say so in writing. A good deal of the work we have done is not published anywhere.
Who owns the site when it is finished?
You do. The site, the domain, the content, the data and the client records. Full handover on request without making it difficult.
What if we already have a website?
Most firms we work with do. We will tell you honestly whether it is worth rebuilding or whether the money is better spent making the one you have work harder.
Are we locked into a contract?
No. Ongoing work cancels on 30 days.
Tell us what you need
You do not have to get this right. A paragraph about what is not working is plenty, and if you are not sure what you need, say that.
We will come back inside one business day. If it is something we can help with, we will book a short working session, ask you the questions, and turn your answers into a written scope with a fixed price and a delivery date.
PDF, DOC or DOCX, up to 10MB. Brand guidelines, an old quote, a page you like the look of. Nothing formal required.
Have a look at what is possible
Tell us what you are dealing with. If it is something we can help with, we will take you through a working session and write you a scope with a fixed price and a delivery date. It costs nothing and you keep it either way. If the answer is that you do not need us yet, we will say that too.
We take a small number of projects at a time, on purpose. This is design work, and design does not get better by being done faster. It is also the only way we can hold the dates we promise.
